Overview
This policy explains what information Collektions collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Collektions application and website.
Information we collect
Account information — your name, email address, and workspace details when you create an account.
Content you upload — the PDFs and publications you create, stored so we can render and serve them.
Engagement data— when someone opens a publication you publish, we record aggregate signals such as views, approximate reading time, and page activity so you can see how your work performs. This is measured using an anonymous identifier for the browsing session. We do not attempt to identify individual readers by name, and readers are not required to sign in to view a publication. Counts described as “unique” reflect distinct browsing sessions, not verified individual people.
Billing information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment provider collects and processes your payment details. We receive only a customer and subscription reference, your plan, and its status. We never receive or store your full card number.
How we use information
To operate and improve the service, render and deliver your publications, provide analytics, secure your account, and communicate with you about the product.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share data only with service providers who help us run Collektions — hosting and database infrastructure, our payment provider for subscriptions, and our email provider for transactional messages — under appropriate safeguards, and with authorities where the law requires it.
Published publications and analytics
Publications you publish are served on public web addresses. Anyone with the link can open them unless you restrict access. Do not publish information you are not permitted to share.
If you connect your own Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager identifiers, those scripts run on your published publications and send data directly to Google under Google’s terms — not ours. When you enable that integration you are the controller of the data it collects, and you are responsible for providing any notice or obtaining any consent your readers are entitled to under the laws that apply to them, including cookie-consent requirements in the EU and UK.
Data retention
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is open. Engagement history is retained according to your plan; on the Free plan, analytics history covers a rolling recent window rather than your full history.
If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your content and personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations. Cancelling a paid subscription does not delete your content — see the cancellation terms in our Terms of Service.
Your choices and rights
You can access and update your account from your dashboard, and delete individual publications there whenever you like.
To export everything, or to close your account and have your data deleted, email hello@collektions.app. We handle those requests by hand rather than through a button in the dashboard, and we will confirm once it is done. Closing an account removes its publications and takes their public links offline, so export anything you want to keep first.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to certain processing. We will not charge you or degrade your service for exercising these rights.
If you are a reader rather than an account holder and want to ask about engagement data recorded on a publication, contact the organization that published it — they control that publication and its analytics settings.
